About Platts Horticulture
Platts Horticulture is a family run business, owned by Five times Chelsea Flower Show gold medal winner, Roger Platts, and his business Partner and son, Tom Platts. Roger has over 25 years experience in business and during this time he has picked up many sought after and world renowned awards including gold medals at Hampton Court in 1992, 1993 and 2003 and at Chelsea in 1996 and 1997. In 2002 his Chelsea Flower Show garden celebrated 75 years of the National Garden Scheme and gained a gold medal and Best Show Garden award. Roger then went on to design the inaugural Show Garden for the Chelsea Flower Show Sponsors M&G Investments in 2010, winning gold medal and the People’s Choice Award. Most recently, Roger created the garden called ‘Windows through time’, once again for M&G, which marked the special centenary year for The Chelsea Flower Show in 2013 and won gold.
Roger is a regular judge for all of the RHS shows, Ambassador for BBC Gardeners World Live and appointed to the RHS gardens committee and gardens advisor for the Wisely gardens.
Tom Platts, started off in the city so has a good understanding of the commercial side of business, managing a number of multinational clients and partnerships during his early career. Tom moved into horticulture to focus on high quality garden products and Garden Technology and now has a decade of experience in this area. Roger and Tom Platts operate to serve a wide range of clients across a multitude of different horticultural projects.

We supply and install the latest technology in Robotic Lawnmowers. Whether you have a garden large or small, simple or complex, we can advise which model is suitable and arrange a convenient date to install your new mower. Most robotic-mowers use GPS-technology in conjunction with a boundary wire, which is buried below the ground. Installation takes only a day.
We also supply and install contemporary Aluminium Pergolas and Garden Rooms and as well as manufacturing our own range of traditional Oak Pergolas.
